Costco Coupons

James and I are on his parents Costco account and they are so nice to pay our membership fee each year. Recently, I learned that Costco sends coupons out to the card member each month. We don't receive them because they are sent to my in-laws.

This month, Costco sent us a coupon packet to try to get us to join Costco. They obviously thought we were not currently members. There were thousands of dollars worth of coupons. Obviously, we don't use all of the items that were couponed. But, we use quite a few.

We clipped and took our list to Costco and purchased those items. Many of them are going into storage (like 16 boxes of tissues), but we'll use eventually. It was especially great to get $5 off of diapers and $4 off of wipes!

I was psyched that we saved a total of $36.50 on items that we usually pay full price for! Woot! I realized that's almost as much as a membership. If this many coupons come every month, it's a no-brainer to sign up ourselves when our membership runs out in December. Does anyone know if they send this many coupons every month? There were 10 pages of coupons. Is that the normal amount?

I asked the cashier if you have to have a coupon to get the discount and he said not necessarily, but you do have to get the mailing to know WHAT has a coupon and then you have to ask for the cashier to enter the coupons for you. I found the coupons posted by someone online, but I think it's easier to have the mailing.

I love coupons and these are high value coupons on stuff we always buy. Good day!

  1. costco is our favorite place to shop and we almost exclusively get all of our food there. That sounds about right for the monthly coupons. I haven't actually counted the pages before - but they are great. We love to stock up on diapers when it is $9 off of a case of huggies and huggies wipes. I don't think we would be able to survive without Costco :) You also get money back at the end of the year depending on how much you have spent during the year. Totally worth every penny of the membership fee.

  2. Thank you Malea! We now have a Costco membership instead of Sam's Club, which we had for 18 years. I didn't know anything about Costco coupons, but I will find out if NYC will take them! I kind of doubt they will just enter the coupon codes for us if we don't have the coupons, but we'll see. Love you, Mom
